In the Occupational therapy department, we do the assessment and intervention to develop, recover, or maintain the meaningful activities, or occupations, of individuals, groups, or communities. We also work with people with mental health problems, disabilities, injuries, or impairments.

By the help of occupational therapy, we help people across the lifespan participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities (occupations). Common occupational therapy interventions include helping children with disabilities to participate fully in school and social situations, injury rehabilitation, and providing supports for older adults experiencing physical and cognitive changes.

Occupational Therapy is the art and science of directing man’s attention towards the use of purposeful activity or interventions designed to achieve functional outcomes that promote health, prevent injury or disability and which develop, improve, sustain or restore the highest possible level of independence of an individual who has an injury, illness, cognitive impairment, psycho-social dysfunction, mental illness, developmental or learning disability, or other disorder or condition.

It involves assessment by means of skilled observation or evaluation through the administration of standardized tools. We provide intervention for problems related to paediatrics, psychiatry, orthopaedics, plastic Surgery, neurology, neuro-surgery, oncology, palliative care, medicine.
